Gord will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great friend to all who knew him. Gord enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to fish. He was also a big supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Winnipeg Jets. Gord was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and the Boston Bruins, especially Bobby Orr. Gord learned to fish from his father in the summers and curled in the winter both of which he would enjoy for the rest of his life. Gord started a long career in sales that started in Toronto in 1974 and then on to Calgary where his children were born and finally back to Manitoba where he retired from Sears Canada in 2008.
